Today, international exchange of experience, acquisition of new knowledge, and adoption of advanced technologies play a crucial role in the development of higher education. It creates new opportunities to improve the quality of specialist training, advance university research, and strengthen partnerships with leading educational institutions around the world.
In this context, professors and staff of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University (KarTU) are participating in a professional development program for the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in the People’s Republic of China.
From June 3 to 23, 2026, the university delegation is undertaking professional training at the partner Shihezi University. The program is organized within the framework of the China Aid state initiative coordinated by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM).
The training covers two key areas: professional development of Chinese language teachers from SCO countries and enhancement of the competencies of specialists in the field of energy cooperation.
The program brings together 13 professors and staff members of KarTU, as well as representatives from Egypt, Nepal, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. This international platform promotes the exchange of experience, establishment of new professional connections, and the development of future joint educational and scientific projects.
In addition, participants will visit leading universities, research centers, and industrial enterprises in Urumqi and Beijing, where they will explore advanced approaches to integrating education, science, and industry.
Participation in this program not only contributes to the professional growth of the university staff but also opens new opportunities for expanding international cooperation, strengthening research ties, and introducing best global practices into the educational process.
