Holding of XXVIII Mendeleyev competition of students-chemists is announced in 2017-2018

The aim of the competition: Support and promote of research activities of students-chemists.

Mendeleyev competition consists of two rounds.

I round – distance, the jury will evaluate the submitted works and selects the best for participation in the II round; the winners of the first round will be announced until February 12, 2018 on the website www.chemeco.ru

II round – internal, is held in the form of Mendeleyev conference of young scientists, where the winners of the first round present their work in oral and poster presentations form. XXVIII Mendeleyev school-conference of young scientists will be held on May 13-18, 2018 at Novosibirsk State University.

All the winners of the first round of the competition will receive a personal invitation via e-mail. (If the work is represented by several students, one student from the authors team is invited to the conference).

-posters of all participants;

-10-minute oral presentations of the best works selected by the jury for the poster session;

-lectures by leading scientists, workshops, excursions of the laboratories and industrial companies.

Categories of the competition

Category No. 1 – “Research in chemistry”

Sections:

  • Physical and analytical chemistry
  • Inorganic chemistry and materials science
  • Organic, bioorganic and organoelemental chemistry
  • Chemistry of polymers and colloidal systems

Category No. 2 “Research in chemical technologies”

Sections:

  • General chemical technology, basic and petrochemical synthesis
  • Technology of inorganic materials
  • Technology of polymers and materials based on them
  • Technology of biologically active compounds

Participants of the competition

Students of any chemical specialties from all universities and universities of Russia and CIS countries can participate in Mendeleyev competition.

The works of students of only 1-4 undergraduate courses are accepted in the category No.1 of the competition.

The works of students all undergraduate courses, master course are accepted in the category No.2 of the competition.
