Website of Karaganda State Technical University took the second place in the international ranking Webometrics
International rating Webometrics is a research group of the Center of information and documentation of the National Research Council of Spain Cybermetrics laboratory (Cybermetrics Lab) since 2004.
The main purpose of the rating is to support the initiatives of the laboratory for opening of information and providing access to electronic scientific publications and academic materials. Webometrics ranking focuses not only on research, but also on the quality of published materials.
Data to determine the ranking of websites are collected twice a year, in January and July. The results are published a month later.
Websites of more than 20 000 of the world’s universities are analyzed and results of the rating for 12 000 ranged Universities are presented.
The new edition published on August 2, 2013 According to the latest results Ranking Web of Universities now KSTU took II place among the universities of Kazakhstan. This is a great indicator of the activity of the entire staff of KSTU!
