A two-day international workshop was held in Astana


Representatives of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University – Vice Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Dr. Timur Kanapyanov and International Cooperation Department specialist Dana Gabitova  participated in an international workshop aimed at discussing opportunities for the participation of Kazakhstani organizations in the Horizon Europe program, as well as at fostering international scientific and technological cooperation in the field of critical raw materials.

The event was organized with the support of the European Commission and Nazarbayev University. The workshop brought together representatives of universities and research organizations, industrial partners, international experts, as well as organizations supporting the implementation of international research projects.

On January 19–20, participants were introduced to practical aspects of participation in Horizon Europe, including proposal submission rules, mechanisms for forming international consortia, and partner search tools.

The workshop is regarded as an important step toward expanding the participation of Kazakhstani organizations in Horizon Europe, strengthening partnership ties, jointly developing technologies, exchanging experience, and fostering long-term and systematic international cooperation aimed at integrating national science into global research and innovation networks.
