On July 26-27, 2025, the Republic of Kazakhstan Grappling Championship among young men was held in Taraz.
Grappling is a type of combat sport that combines the techniques of all wrestling disciplines, with minimal restrictions on the use of painful and choking techniques. The main goal of the tournament is to form the Kazakhstan national team to participate in the world championship.
Student of the group TSC-24-2 Erkanat Danial took 3rd place in this championship in the weight category up to 62 kg. This is an excellent result, considering that Danial has been engaged in grappling for less than a year.
