On April 4-5, 2018, the festival “El zhuregi – Astana” was held in KSTU, which was held at University for the first time and timed to the 20th anniversary of Astana and the 65th anniversary of KSTU, to the 60th anniversary of Karaganda State Technical University.
The purpose of the festival is to create conditions for the realization of creative potential of students, to support and stimulate student initiatives, as well as to preserve and multiply the moral and cultural values of students.
The festival was organized by the Department of Youth Policy and the Association of student organizations of KSTU “Zhas Orda”.
The competition program of the festival was held in the following areas: vocal performance, choreography (folk and modern dances), instrumental performance (dombra), debate, CFI.
The festival lasted for two days. On the first day — April 4, 2018, the debate tournament and CFI games (Russian and Kazakh leagues) were held at the Youth Palace “Zhastar Alemi”. On the second day — April 5, 2018 — at K.S. Stanislavsky Russian drama theater. Competitions in musical, instrumental and dance directions were held as well.
Following the results of competitions the competent jury consisting of authoritative and known in the region and in the Republic figures of culture and art Sayat Abdigali, Irina Vazem, Balgabek Smagulov, Anar Kapasova, Maxim Petrov and Raiymbek Satybaldy defined winners and prize-winners of the festival which became the real holiday of art and creativity of the students of KSTU who proved once again that the engineer is both a physicist, a singer, a poet and a philosopher.
