Saginov Technical University to Receive Laboratory Equipment as a Gift from Industry Partners

On May 28, a delegation from Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, including Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation A. Mekhtiyev, Chief of Staff A. Issagulov, HR Advisor A. Orsayeva, Director of the Department of Youth Policy G. Adamova, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction D. Tokanov, Head of the Department of “Architecture and Design” I. Dkhomane, Senior Lecturer R. Kiknadze, and Head of the Department of “Transport Engineering and Logistics Systems” N. Zharkenov, visited LLP “Kazdorproekt.”

Kazdorproekt is one of the leading companies in the field of design and estimate documentation in the road construction industry. It actively collaborates with large industrial and mining enterprises, as well as local government administrations across Kazakhstan and the city of Karaganda. The company’s team makes a significant contribution to the development of the region’s and the country’s road sector. Naturally, it has not gone unnoticed by our university. Like many enterprises and organizations in the Karaganda region, Kazdorproekt has signed a cooperation memorandum with the university.

However, the current visit aimed to expand and deepen this cooperation and to specify joint tasks that can be addressed more effectively through collaboration. As emphasized by Ali Mekhtiyev, who set the tone for the meeting with the company’s leadership, cooperation between the parties should not be limited to academic programs and student internships. The university possesses strong scientific and human resources and is ready to assist in solving practical problems and implementing various projects. The university’s focus on the commercialization of science demands more than ever close collaboration between researchers and practitioners.

Aristotel Issagulov, Daniyar Tokanov, Nursultan Zharkenov, and other delegation members shared their thoughts and proposals for expanding and deepening cooperation with the company. They also highlighted opportunities for Kazdorproekt specialists to pursue graduate and doctoral studies at the university under favorable conditions.

Rustam Kamaletdinov, Director of LLP “Kazdorproekt,” fully supported the university representatives’ intentions aimed at enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation. Incidentally, like many of the company’s specialists, he is a graduate of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. Therefore, he responded enthusiastically to a proposal to arrange meetings between the company’s leading specialists—who are also university alumni—and current students. These meetings would give students firsthand insights into what contributed to their success and career growth.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the director of LLP “Kazdorproekt” surprised the guests with a pleasant gesture. He handed over a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Board – Rector S. Sagintayeva, in which he expressed his gratitude “for maintaining the university’s professional status at a high level and for striving for intellectual excellence in the field of engineering and technical knowledge…” He also pledged to provide laboratory equipment for free use to support research and the practical implementation of developed ideas.

This generous gift is the company’s response to the call for deeper and broader cooperation with the university. The company is ready. So are we. And that means the results of our joint, productive work are just around the corner.
