On June 12-13, the republican energy Spartakiad «Birlik Energiasy» was held in the sports complex of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. Employees of the group of companies «Kazakhstan Energy Systems» from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Mangistau, Kentau, Karaganda and Shakhtinsk took part in it.
Abay Klykov, Board Member – Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, who welcomed the participants of the Spartakiad on behalf of the management of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, noted that our university, which provided the university sports complex for holding the competitions, has every right to call the workers of energy enterprises their colleagues. Since it is engaged in training personnel for the important industry in which they work.
And many of them, not to mention the enterprises of our region, are graduates of our university. Therefore, we are always happy to assist in holding such events. Moreover, they are aimed at popularizing sports and a healthy lifestyle in general, serve to unite and strengthen friendship between related enterprises.
Warm words of encouragement addressed to the participants of the Spartakiad Technical Director of Kazakhstan Communal Systems LLP. Beksoltan Aydin and the chief judge of the competition, national category judge Tolegen Tulebayev. Having emphasized the importance of sports in the life of every Kazakhstan, they wished the teams a fair and uncompromising fight and victory for the strongest.
The opening of the Spartakiad was truly bright and colorful. It was not only because all the participants wore beautiful uniforms, and the fans prepared posters with inscriptions in support of their teams, and musical accompaniment. The very atmosphere in which the opening of the Spartakiad took place was festive. It was enhanced by the wonderful performances of artists with dance numbers.
But now the teams are heading to the competition venues. They had to compete for the championship in four sports over the course of two days: mini-football, volleyball, chess and table tennis. Each of them is interesting in its own way. Perhaps, in chess the events do not develop as rapidly as on the volleyball and football courts or on the tennis tables. But even there it is no less tense and exhausting. It is only a pity that the struggle was simultaneously taking place on the chessboards, and on the tennis tables, and on the volleyball and football courts.

The strongest won. But everyone ended up in the win. Because it wasn’t just a competition. It was an opportunity to feel the shoulder of a colleague, test yourself and your comrades, strengthen your health and establish new work and friendly connections.
Sports have always been an important part of the corporate culture of energy companies. And the recent Spartakiad was further evidence of it.
