In 2022, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This document aims to create conditions for multi-stakeholder research and academic partnerships, the introduction of digital innovations in education to bridge the digital divide, and the creation of a Kazakh ICT talent ecosystem that will contribute to the development of digital literacy and social skills.
Earlier in 2021, the Huawei ICT Academy was opened on the basis of the Department of Communications Systems Technologies. Every year, students study at this academy and pass exams for international Huawei certification, which allows them to acquire practical skills that give them additional opportunities and advantages in further employment in leading companies.
In order to provide an international learning platform for students who want to improve their ICT knowledge, Huawei has launched a global ICT competition in cooperation with global universities. Through a series of competitions, students can strengthen their practical and innovative skills.
