((based on the TYPE)

The maintask of thermal power engineering is the rationaluse of thermalenergyinindustryandutilities.

Specialistswhounderstandtheissues of heatconversionintoelectricalandmechanicalenergydevelopventilation, heatingandhot water supply systems, designequipmentforthermal power plants, nuclear power plants, boiler houses, heating networks, aswell as variousindustrialenterprises, choose power supplyschemes that ensureoptimal operating modesofthermalequipmentandinstallations.Likemanyengineers, thermal power engineers workaccording to the principle:design-installation-commissioning-operation.

Thermal power engineering is a fairlybroadfield.Heat exchange processes are present in almostanyproduction, uptonuclearpowerplants, andheatingis present ineveryresidentialbuilding.

Upongraduation, ourgraduateshave the right to worknotonlyat power plantsandenterprisesrelatedto the transfer of energy and heattoelectricity, butalso to workinalternativeenergy, which, inturn, is veryimportantinconnectionwith the transition to the”greencourse”.Theyholdpositions of power engineers, heat engineers, power system dispatchersindesignorganizations, power plants, organizationsfor the maintenanceandoperation of heatingnetworks, quarries, mines, constructionandmanyothers.

They have the opportunity to work in large companies of the country, such as Kazakhmys Corporation JSC, Qarmet JSC, Karaganda-Energocenter LLP, etc. Graduates are often employed by large industrial enterprises. Production volumes require constant monitoring of the condition of the heating equipment and its prompt repair.
