The latest course conducted by the Institute of Continuous Education at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University was dedicated to specialists from the Kazakhmys Corporation. It was held this summer, from July 24 to August 28.
The Kazakhmys Corporation is one of the largest mining and metallurgical companies in Kazakhstan and throughout the CIS. The Company’s main activities are producing, processing, and selling non-ferrous metals, particularly copper.
The Institute of Continuous Education successfully organized and conducted specialized training courses to enhance the skills of specialists at mines in the Satpayev and Zhezkazgan regions.
During the training, management employees and field specialists improved their professional knowledge in the safe operation, installation, commissioning, and start-up of electrical equipment and networks used in hazardous areas.
Senior lecturers of the University G. Baidyussenov and O. Makhambetov participated in the course. A total of 178 specialists participated in the advanced training courses.
