The third youth personnel reserve of the Group – ERG New Leader 3.0 – has completed its project defense in Astana. In this large-scale competition, young scientists from all over the country presented their innovative ideas and tried to prove their uniqueness and novelty. In a tense competition, Bekarys Salkynbayev, a first-year doctoral student at the Nanotechnology and Metallurgy Department of at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, took the honorable second place.
Bekarys submitted a project for the competition on the topic “Construction of a furnace for drying brex at the extrusion section of the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant” that was highly praised by experts. The project aimed at improving the production efficiency, was distinguished by its relevance and technical innovation. Among 150 applicants, he was among the 33 finalists who passed several selection stages. Within the year, the finalists underwent professional training and developed their production projects.
Bekarys’ success is a vivid example of how the University scientific research finds a response in real production needs. The talented doctoral student’s supervisor is Doctor of Engineering, Professor Aristotle Issagulov.
Becoming a prize winner of such a large-scale competition organized by such an industrial giant as ERG is a serious step towards becoming one of the future leaders.
