From May 22 to 24, the Department of Youth Policy and the student association “Zhas Orda” of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University organized the annual offsite student leadership school «Jas Wave» in the town of Karkaralinsk, held at our recreation center «Polytechnic.» This year’s event was dedicated to the Year of Skilled Trades.
▫The trip brought together 100 students — active members of the “Zhas Orda” youth association, student dormitory councils, and participants from creative and debate clubs.
The educational program of the offsite school included both training and team-building elements, with a particular focus on the theme of the Year of Skilled Trades. Activities included intellectual quizzes, sports relays, quests, training sessions, and educational games.
▫Throughout the events, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of skilled trades for the economy and society, as well as the opportunities for self-fulfillment in these fields. At the same time, they acquired valuable knowledge and practical skills in leadership, project management, communication, and time management — all while enjoying the outdoors in one of the most scenic areas of Karkaralinsk.
