WELCOME TO THE FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY!
Accelerating the pace of digitalization in our country in order to improve the quality of life for the population, puts increasingly high demands on domestic higher technical education and science. The Faculty of Information Technology has been one of the leaders and innovators in this field for half a century.
50 years ago, the Faculty of Automation and Information Systems was opened at the university on the basis of the Faculty of Mining and Electrical Engineering. In 1993, this department was transformed into the Faculty of Information Technology, and in 2008, it was renamed the Faculty of Innovative Technologies. Currently, the faculty is known as the Faculty of Information Technology.
Currently, the Departments of the Faculty of Information Technology of the CISCO Network Academy and leading IT companies-“ERP — company” LLP, “Gexabyte” LLP, “Wooppay” LLP, “X-net”, CIT “WTO”,”ABI”LLP. As part of the training of world-class programmers, the faculty has been successfully operating since 2011 by the RD-laboratory “EPAM Systems”, whose graduates work not only in IT companies of the region and the country, but also abroad – at Google.
