Military department


By order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR No. 1274 of June 18, 1953
based on the Karaganda Mining Institute
a military department was created

The goal of creating a military department is to prepare reserve officers from among students.

The first graduation of reserve officers at the military department took place in 1957 in the amount of 138 people (commander of a platoon of divisional artillery).

In 1958, the department begins the release of reserve officers in the military specialty (hereinafter referred to as the WMD):

– “Construction and operation of bridges on highways”;

– “Engineer for the mechanization of road construction works.”

In 1964, the department begins the release of reserve officers in the military administration:

– “Platoon commander of engineering and road, bridge building and engineering and positional units”;

– “Engineers and technicians for the design, operation and repair of engineering weapons.”

In 1980, the department begins the training of reserve officers in the military administration:

– “Deputy commander of a tank company for the technical part.”

In 1981, the department began training reserve officers on the military-industrial college:

– “Platoon commander of medium tanks.”

And also the number and name of the cycles changes.

Since 1983, the department has been preparing reserve officers for the military-industrial college:

– “Combat use of army and corps artillery units;

– “Combat use of medium tank units”;

– “Deputy commander of a tank company for the technical part.”

In 1985 – the number and name of the cycles changed.

In 2007, retraining of current officers was carried out on courses on an abbreviated program.

In the following years, the training of reserve officers for the military administration was carried out:

– “combat use of mortar units”;

– “the organization of educational and ideological work in the Ground Forces”;

– “Organization of communications in the ground forces.”

Currently, the military department is preparing reserve officers in six military specialties:

– “combat use of units, units and formations of ground artillery”;

– “combat use of mortar units”;

– “artillery intelligence”;

– “combat use of tank units, armored vehicles”;

– “organization of operation and repair of armored vehicles”;

– “Organization of communications in the ground forces.”

The chiefs of the military department made a very significant contribution to the formation and development of the military department: Colonel Izhik Vladimir Konstantinovich (1954-1957), Colonel Lev Vasilievich (1957 -1964) Colonel Ivan Vasilyevich Bratko (1965 -1974), the first head of the department. .), Colonel Breus Nikolai Vasilievich (1974-1979), Colonel Brovchenko Mikhail Vasilievich (1979-1982) – participants in the Great Patriotic War.

The subsequent department was headed by Colonel Golubev Viktor Ivanovich (1982-1986), as well as the graduates of our department Colonel Tityonok Igor Mikhailovich (1987-1994) and Gurtova Vyacheslav Ivanovich (1994-2011), Colonel Sakauov Adilet Baltashevich (2011 .-2014.). Graduate of our department, Colonel Strokov Evgeny Nikolaevich (2015-2019).

Currently, the military department is headed by Colonel Darmankulov Murat Iltaenvich.

During this time, the department was not once encouraged by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. So, according to the results of 2006, it was recognized as the best among 23 military departments of Kazakhstan.

More than 20 thousand reserve officers have been trained, many of whom serve in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the divisions, units and institutions of the ministries: Internal Affairs; Emergency situations; National Security Committee.

The military department is equipped with basic models of armored weapons and artillery systems, armed with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the educational process, simulators, technical teaching aids, teaching aids developed by teachers of the department, educational films, electronic presentations and textbooks, specialized computer classes connected by a local network are actively used.

Currently, students of the department are studying in two cycles:

– 1) “Combat use of artillery”;

– 2) “Combat use of tank units.”
