The delegation of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, consisting of the Chairman of the Board – Rector Saule Sagintayeva, Board Member – Vice-Rector for social and educational work Abay Kalykov and Director of the Confucius Institute Tatyana Filippova, is taking part in the conference of the University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (USCO). It is being held from May 11 to 14 in Urumqi (PRC).
The opening ceremony of the conference was preceded by an exhibition of the results of the USCO University’s digital education, which impressed numerous forum participants.
The USCO Conference is a rewarding dialogue platform for establishing new strategic partnerships. As part of the forum, Saule Sagintayeva delivered a presentation titled «Integration of Education and Industry: Approaches in Engineering Education. The Experience of Saginov Technical University,» in which she shared innovative approaches to engineering education implemented at the university she leads.The activities of our university aroused great interest among the conference participants. Thanks to this, new mutually beneficial ties were established. During the forum, rewarding meetings were held with representatives of Xinjiang University, Shihezi University, Xian University, MPEI, UFU named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, Belarusian National Technical University, Pacific National University, Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala, International University of Kyrgyzstan, etc.
As part of the conference, its participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the extensive exhibition «Study In Kazakhstan», which also presented the educational programs of Saginov Technical University (STU) for foreign students.
