On 20 April 2017, the opening of the book festival “Book is a bridge connecting culture and spirituality” was held on the square in front of N.V. Gogol Regional Science library dedicated to the International specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 and International Book Day and Copyright.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Department of culture, archives and documentation of Karaganda region, the media and Confucius Institute at KSTU, artists of K.Baizhanov concert association and fashion theatre “Debut”, students of schools and colleges of Karaganda.
The fact that China is the most important political and economic partner of our country, it doesn’t require any extra explanation. Every year hundreds of thousands Chinese tourists come to Kazakhstan for business, education, exchange of experience. And in response, our citizens visit China for various life issues. It is not surprising that 2017 has been declared the Year of Chinese tourism in our country. As the organizers consider, this fact will strengthen cultural and economic cooperation between our countries.
There are 4 Confucius Institutes, one of which is at KSTU.
Students, who study at Confucius Institute at KSTU, demonstrated their skills in various types of Chinese art and counseled students about study opportunities in China.
Zhang Yang Fey, Chinese teacher of Confucius Institute, discussed about the services provided by the Institute to those interested in culture and life of our great neighbor.
