On April 14, the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Abylkas Saginov KTU held the 1st stage of the XVII Republican Subject Student Olympiad in the field of study 6B051 “Biological and Related Sciences” (EP “Biotechnology”).
3rd year students took part in the Olympiad.
Based on the results of the Olympiad, 4 prize places were awarded:
- 1st place – Yekaterina Toporkina (100 points);
- 2nd place – Valeria Shprint (98 points);
- 2nd place – Vladislav Vilip (98 points),
- 3rd place – Amina Issakova (90 points).
A team of students consisting of Yekaterina Toporkina, Valeria Shprink and Vladislav Vilip was sent to Almaty, to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to participate in the II stage of the XVII Republican Subject Olympiad for students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the educational program 6B05101 “Biotechnology”.
On April 21, the II stage of the XVII Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of training 6B051 “Biological and Related Sciences” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The teams competed in theoretical knowledge and practical skills, in the ability to conduct scientific research and to analyze the results obtained.
Our students also managed to prove themselves in the II stage of the Olympiad and took an honorable 3rd place. The team leader was PhD in Biology, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology Svetlana Derbush.
Representatives of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University noted the high level of training of our students. This once again confirms professionalism of the staff of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. Congratulations to the winners and teachers of the department on their success!
