From November 24 to 28 in the Sairan Arena Palace in Astana there was held the Futsal Championship of RK “University League 2024”. In total, it involved 10 teams from all over the republic, which were divided into two groups. The honor of the Karaganda region was defended by the national team of the Abylkas Saginov KTU.
Following the results of the group games, the team of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University drew one game, and won the other three ones.
– In the semifinals, we beat the capital’s AITU team, with a score of 4:1. In the final match, the opponent was the team of the University of Turan in Almaty, where our team did not leave any chances to the opponent, winning a convincing victory with a score of 5:1. Thus, for the first time in history, the Abylkas Saginov KTU team became the national champion, – said the coach, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education Yerlan Okassov.
In addition, our players received individual prizes. Thus, Kirill Durov, the team’s player, was recognized as the best striker, and Zharkynbek Ryspekov was recognized as the best goalkeeper.
The team is coached by trainer, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education Yerlan Okassov and UEFA coach Alexander Dyachenko.
