Dormitory Housing Complex “Armandastar Ordasy”

The dormitory of the “Armandastar Ordasy” housing complex was built under the Presidential program *“Student Housing”*. The official opening took place in the summer of 2015.

The dormitory is designed to accommodate 822 students.

Students live in section-type rooms. Each section contains two rooms: one for 2 persons and another for 3 persons.

The living area of a double room is 14 sq.m

The living area of a triple room is 20 sq.m

All rooms are well-equipped and furnished with modern furniture.

On the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, there are 42 rooms per floor (16 double rooms and 26 triple rooms), as the two wings of the building are connected by a gallery.

On the 6th and 7th floors, there are 36 rooms per floor (12 double and 24 triple rooms).

On the 8th and 9th floors, there are 38 rooms per floor (12 double and 26 triple rooms).

The dormitory is located in the city center, within the university campus.

All necessary conditions for comfortable student living are provided, including laundry rooms, storage facilities, utility rooms, ironing areas, and modern sanitary facilities.

On the first floor of the dormitory, there is a conference hall with an area of 67.8 sq.m, where seminars and themed student meetings are regularly held:

– with representatives of traditional clergy on issues of interethnic harmony, ethnic and religious tolerance, and the prevention of extremism and terrorism;

– with officers of the Karaganda City Local Police Service, the Drug Control Department of the Karaganda Region, and the Central Police Department for the purpose of preventing offenses and deviant behavior among youth;

with officials from the justice system and law enforcement agencies;

– with faculty deans, as well as events organized by the dormitory’s student council.

Each floor of the dormitory has 2 to 3 recreation areas, each 20.0 sq.m in size, equipped with appropriate furniture and modern televisions.

Study rooms, each with an area of 20 sq.m, are located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.

A multimedia room with an area of 22 sq.m is available where students can prepare for their classes.

Each student has a personal login and password to access the internet, with monthly data replenishment.

The dormitory is equipped with wireless internet (Wi-Fi).

Triple Room

Washrooms and toilets are located within the sections and are combined with sanitary units, each with an area of 4.52 sq.m.

Additionally, there are 2 separate washrooms and toilet rooms located in the middle of each floor, each with an area of 4.9 sq.m**.

On the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, there are 22 sanitary units per floor;

on the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th floors — 20 sanitary units per floor.

Each floor of the dormitory has 4 utility rooms for cooking, each with an area of 45 sq.m. Each utility room (kitchen) is equipped with 3 kitchen cabinets, 3 refrigerators, and 3 electric stoves.

The dormitory has a laundry room with an area of 43.1 sq.m, equipped with 15 automatic washing machines and 9 modern ironing machines.

Special drying is not required, as the laundry comes out semi-dry.

Bed linen is washed weekly.

The dormitory consists of 4 floors: 1st floor – 7 rooms

2nd to 4th floors – 30 rooms on each floor

The 1st floor also houses the administration, a reception desk, and 2 storage rooms for personal belongings.

The dormitory has a laundry room on the first floor with an area of 6.2 sq.m, equipped with 3 automatic washing machines.

Each of the 3 drying rooms located on the upper floors (each 12.6 sq.m) contains a table for ironing students’ clothes and laundry.

There are 2 shower rooms (male and female) on the first floor, each equipped with 2 water heaters (titans).

Each utility room is equipped with: 3 electric stoves, 2 cutting tables, 2 sinks with cabinets

Each floor has 1 utility room and 2 restrooms.

Additionally, there are 2 washrooms on each floor, each equipped with 7 washbasins and 2 shower trays.

The electronic reading room is equipped with 18 computers for student use.
