International Video Presentation Competition
Challenges of the 21st Century
among students of Ivanovo State Power Engineering University (Ivanovo, Russia), Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus), Karaganda Technical University (Karaganda, RK)
The international competition “Challenges of the 21st Century” is held in March 2021 within the framework of international cooperation and the implementation of the educational project “Development of a strategic approach: quality management of the educational process and methods of teaching languages in a technical university” among students of three universities: Ivanovo State Power Engineering University ( Ivanovo, Russia), Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus), Karaganda Technical University (Karaganda, RK). The organizers of the competition were:• Department of Russian Language and Culture, KTU;• Department of Intensive Study of English, Russian and French Languages, ISEU and BSU. The objectives of the competition are:Ø improving the skills of academic oral communication in Russian and foreign languages;Ø formation of students’ presentation skills in Russian and foreign languages;Ø development of research skills of university students. This competition is aimed at:Ø identification and encouragement of talented student youth in the field of professional culture and culture of business communication;Ø supporting students’ initiative;Ø developing creative thinking, creative potential of students;Ø promoting citizenship and patriotism;Ø studying the history of human culture. The main task of the participants is to defend design work in Russian and foreign languages in the form of presentations. Defense time – up to 5 minutes, presentation – 5-10 slides.Project work can reflect the opinion of the participant on topical issues of our time.
