This year marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of Zhambyl Zhabayev, whose name is widely known not only in our country, but also abroad. Akyn’s poems were translated into English, Bulgarian, Czech and other languages of the world. Mikhail Sholokhov spoke with admiration of Zhambyl’s epic, “courageous in its simplicity” songs.
Zhambyl’s creation is a symbiosis of oral poetic creativity with the modern art of word. Hence the color of his works, which to this day have not lost their relevance.
Zhambyl glorified themes that touch the hearts of people all over the world. There are no borders for the songs of Zhambyl, the best works of the great akyn became the property of millions, so it is our duty to preserve and pass on this heritage to the younger generation.
