On 14.10.2023, the opening of the Regional Volleyball Tournament among the teaching staff of Karaganda universities dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the university took place at 9.30 in the sports complex of Kar TU named after Abylkas Saginov.
In total, four teams took part in the tournament, such as “Veterans of the Abylkas Saginov Card”, the Abylkas Saginov CARD Team, the E.A. Buketov KarU team, the MUK team (Medical University. According to the format of the tournament, players aged from forty years (40+) were allowed to participate.
The opening was attended by honored guests: S.K. Tutanov -Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, excellent student of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of the Abylkas Saginov KarTU, sports veteran, A.B. Myrzabaev -Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Zoology of the E.A.Buketov KarU, N.N. Nauryzov-Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Medical University of Karaganda, S.V. Koshovets, TDF graduate, businessman, captain of the Polytech Graduates team.
The DMP provided great assistance in holding the opening of the tournament.
The competitions were held in gyms No. 1 and No. 3.
As a result of the competitions, the first place was taken by the team of veterans of our university, the second place was taken by the national team of KARTU named after Abylkas Saginov, and the third place was taken by the team of KarU named after E.A. Buketov.
Despite their age, the participants showed a fairly good level of preparedness. Thus, they can serve as a worthy example for the new generation.
