The main direction of scientific and practical business of the department “TSS” is aimed at solving problems:

1. Increased strength and reliability of the design of mining machinery

2. Used high technology to obtain rare earth chemical elements and their alloys

3. Design and creation of alternative sources of electrical energy using high-tech technology.

4. The development of transport systems opencast mining.

5. Design of manufacturing training laborotornyh stands for educational institution.

The department is actively cooperating with enterprises of the corporate university and actively participates in the work hozdogovornoy total funding for the 2010-2011 year was 19.5 million KZT.

Signed a contract worth 10 million tons. for 2011-2012. with the LP “PlyusMikro” for the research in the field of energy saving technologies.

Expected life of the project for 3 years. This project will significantly improve the durability, reliability and service life of structural parts of the electromechanical equipment in continuous operation, without significant material costs and downtime. The essence of the project is the establishment and elimination of stress concentration zones, which produce fatigue cracks, leading to the destruction of the structure through the use elements of the gain in the critical points. This fact will greatly extend the life of any structure and reduce its metal without the use of high strength alloys.

In the process, will perform the following work:

– Developed an automated way to establish the emergency hazardous voltages in the brake unit mining hoisting machine load operating conditions during operation;

– Improved ways to enhance and restore method design, allowing to provide the necessary strength and durability of the beam braking mine hoist using diagnostic tools and simulation;

– Methods of simulation and design parameters of the form elements to strengthen the beam braking devices, reducing the value of maximum stress at operating loads;

– Prepared practical recommendations for the restoration of damaged structures as a result of the formation and development of fatigue cracks for all kinds of electromechanical equipment.
