Report on holding the Regional competition of creative works (essay) “Lessons of history: past, present and future”


The Department of Russian Language and Culture held a Regional competition of creative works (essay) “Lessons of history: past, present and future”, dedicated to the 355th anniversary of Kazybek bi, an outstanding historical figure at the turn of the XVII-XVIII centuries from 16 to 31 March 2022 on the basis of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov.

Kazybek bi is one of the three great biys of the Kazakh people of the 17th-18th centuries, an outstanding public figure, a key figure in the history of modern Kazakhstan. The life of Kazybek bi was full of selfless deeds and bold decisions.

The rich spiritual heritage of Kazybek bi, his sayings and edifications, which have become aphorisms are passed down from generation to generation. The principles of justice, prudence, the wise words of the steppe genius, his call for peace and harmony are especially relevant and important among the younger generation.

The competition was led by Department of Russian Language and Culture, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor B.R. Ospanova. Student works were evaluated by an expert commission consisting of: Ospanova B.R. – Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Culture of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov; Kalybekova K.S. – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of the Kazakh Language and Culture of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov; Nasyrova A.B. – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Culture of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov; Tleugabylova K.S. – I.O. Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov and Zhumatova G.M. – Senior Lecturer of the Department of the APK and SHD of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov.

The purpose of the competition is to foster a sense of patriotism, respect for the heritage of ancestors who have preserved the national traditions and values ​​of the Kazakh people for their descendants, involvement in the history of the country, responsibility for its present and future.

The participants of the event were students of universities and colleges of the Karaganda region: Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, Karaganda University named after. E.A. Buketov, NJSC “Medical University of Karaganda”, Polytechnic College “Kazakhmys”, Balkhash.

The total number of works is 162 (61 works are in Russian, 101 are in the state language).

In choosing the winners the jury was guided by the criteria of clarity of presentation, competence, literacy and topicality of the problem.

The results of the Competition were distributed as follows:

1st place:

  • Amanzhol Ernat (supervisor Azimbayeva Zh.A.), group AС-21-1 (KTU named after Abylkas Saginov, Karaganda).

2nd place:

  • Toresh Nasipkul (head Seidakhmetova Z.K.), group MS-19-1 (KTU named after Abylkas Saginov, Karaganda).
  • Serikova Alina (head Nurlanova S.S.), group AZh-13 (KarU named after. E.A.Buketova, Karaganda).

III place:

  • Birtisova Aisulu (supervisor Dokuchaeva N.V.), group LS-21-1 (KTU named after Abylkas Saginov, Karaganda).
  • Yergalieva Merey (supervisor Kishenova A.Yu.), group SIS-21-2 (KTU named after Abylkas Saginov, Karaganda).

2nd place:

  • Medetov Anuar (head Timokhina T.V.), group IS-21-1 KTU named after Abylkas Saginov (Karaganda).
  • Shyngys Dinmukhammed (leader Starovik P.P.), group Yu-23 KarU named after E.A.Buketova (Karaganda).

III place:

  • Kerimbek Yerzhan (head Akynzhanova A.A.), group GE-21-1 KTU named after Abylkas Saginov (Karaganda).
  • Boken Alisher (supervisor Baizhasarova M.T.), group HE-18-9-1 PI Polytechnic College of Kazakhmys Corporation (Balkhash).

The competition committee determined the best works in three categories:
