Within the framework of the implementation of the state program “Rukhani Zhangyru”, the Department of Russian Language and Culture of Karaganda Technical University held a charity event “Day of Kindness and Respect” on 02.10.21, dedicated to the Day of the Elderly.
The main purpose of the campaign, which implements the conceptual principle of “Zhomart Zhurek”, is to provide charitable assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the city’s population with the involvement of university teachers.
The initiator of the action was the head of the department B.R. Ospanova and the teaching staff of the Department of Russian Language and Culture. The teachers prepared sets for pensioners in the form of fruits, juices, confectionery and culinary products and handed them to the guests of the house.
Founded in 2017, the House of Elderly People “Grace” today has five buildings. The faculty of the department visited the newly opened building, the number of guests of which varies from 10 to 30 people. The teachers congratulated the elderly on the holiday and noted the contribution of labor veterans to the socio-economic development of the city of Karaganda and the Karaganda region, thanks to which our region has become one of the leading industrial centers of the country. It was emphasized that in the process of educational work with students, teachers, emphasis is placed on the merits of labor veterans who contributed to the economic development of Central Kazakhstan with their selfless work.
There is no doubt that such charity events should be held as often as possible, since they contribute to the development of humanity, fostering a sense of mutual assistance and compassion for one’s neighbor, being an example of the voluntary implementation of charitable activities.
