“Postgraduate education: master’s degree”
Requirements for the content of education

The RUP is developed for the academic year on the basis of the TUPL of the specialty and the IEP of undergraduates and is approved by the head of the educational organization based on the decision of the academic council.

The RUP determines the list of disciplines for the academic year and their labor intensity in credits, the order of study, types of training sessions and forms of control, as well as other types of educational activities (practices, NIRM (EIRM), comprehensive exam, preparation and defense of a master’s thesis.

The RUP serves as the basis for drawing up a class schedule and calculating the complexity of the teacher’s educational work

An individual work plan for a master’s student is drawn up for the entire period of study and includes the following sections:

1) IUP (if necessary, can be updated annually);

2) research/experimental research work (topic, direction of research, timing and reporting form);

3) practice (program, basis, timing and reporting form);

4) the topic of the master’s thesis with justification and structure;

5) plan for completing the master’s thesis;

6) plan for scientific publications and internships.

Requirements for undergraduate research work:

Research work in scientific and pedagogical master’s programs must:

1) correspond to the main issues of the specialty in which the master’s thesis is being defended;

2) be relevant, contain scientific novelty and practical significance;

3) be based on modern theoretical, methodological and technological achievements of science and practice;

4) be carried out using modern scientific research methods;

5) contain research (methodological, practical) sections on the main protected provisions;

6) be based on advanced international experience in the relevant field of knowledge.

Requirements for experimental research work of a master’s student:

Experimental research work in a specialized master’s program should:

1) correspond to the main issues of the specialty in which the master’s thesis is being defended;

2) be based on modern achievements of science, technology and production and contain specific practical recommendations, independent solutions to management problems;

3) be carried out using advanced information technologies;

4) contain experimental and research (methodological, practical) sections on the main protected provisions.
The results of scientific research or experimental research work at the end of each period of their completion are documented by the undergraduate in the form of a report.

Within the framework of NIRM (EIRM), the individual work plan of a master’s student provides for mandatory completion of a foreign scientific internship

The master’s thesis must undergo a check for plagiarism, the rules and procedure for which are determined by the university independently

Within two months after enrollment, each master’s student is assigned a supervisor to supervise his master’s thesis.

The scientific supervisor and the research topic of the master’s student are approved by order of the rector of the university based on the decision of the academic council.

The scientific supervisor of the master’s student must have an academic degree and be actively engaged in scientific research in this branch of science (in the specialty of the master’s student). If necessary, scientific consultants in related fields of science may be appointed.
