Material and technical base

On letting-out MM and N chair there are 3 lecture audiences equipped technical modern equipment: videoprojectors, projective TVs, web – cameras, videorecorders, and also 7 specialized laboratories where practical and laboratory classes are given.

There are two branches of the Department at the Chemical and Metallurgical Institute n.a. Zh. Abishev where students perform laboratory work on the courses: “X-ray”, “Electron Microscopy”, “X-ray and special methods of investigation”, “Corrosion and anti-corrosion coatings” and LLP “CMH n.a. Parkhomenko “where students perform laboratory work on the courses:” “Technology foundry”,” Molding materials and mixtures “,” Quality control of materials “, etc.

Together with the Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources (IPKON) is dealing with the acquisition of equipment for light microscopy and sample preparation.

The department is equipped with modern experimental and laboratory facilities and is constantly working to improve it.

Classrooms are equipped with visual materials and modern equipment in the disciplines: “Mechanical properties of materials”, “Physics and physical properties of materials”, “Process measurement and instrumentation”, “Theory and technology of heat treatment.”

In 2012-2014 to ensure the modernization of the educational process was acquired modern equipment and appliances (for static testing machine KSRS – 40, PH meter, high-temperature electric furnace, muffle furnace, radiation thermometer Raynger ST-20, a portable hardness tester MET-D1, metallographic microscopes METAMR 1-modern laboratory Materials with unique equipment, etc.).
