International cooperation of the “Building materials and technologies” department


The Department of «Building materials and technologies»

 

Department employees took an active participation at the work of the World Congresses in Soil engineering and Foundation Engineering, held in research centers in different countries – Istanbul (2001), Singapore and Prague (2003), Osaka (2005), Kolkata and Madrid (2007), as well as in Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The faculty of the department includes 10 professors, 5 members of the International and Kazakhstan Geotechnical Associations, 4 members of the Artists’ unions of the Republic of  Kazakhstan.

The department actively cooperates with the University of Tokyo (Japan), Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Belgorod State Technological University (Russia), the Research Institute of Building Constructions (Ukraine). Over the past three years, scientific seminars have been held at the department with the participation of visiting professors from the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore and South Korea.

The department is working to expand International cooperation with leading educational institutions of the near and far abroad, such as Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Penza State University of Architecture and Construction, Ural Polytechnic Institute, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Belgorod.

Department main directions in the field of international cooperation:

– implementation of activities to expand and strengthen international contacts and cooperation, as well as enhancing interaction with international and regional organizations, foreign universities, foundations and programs;

– organization of interchange by teachers and students in contracts developing and projects of long-term cooperation programs with foreign partner universities;

 Invitation  domestic and foreign scientists to give lectures, conduct master classes and organize research projects.
