The 4th year students of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov were again at the peak of knowledge. On October 17, 2023, Nuriden Mukhtar and Makhambet Askhat won the Grand Prix among students of higher educational institutions and colleges of the Karaganda region in a hackathon dedicated to the 60th anniversary of this university. Students of the SIB-20-2 group of the specialty “Information Security Systems” took another prize, proving the originality and novelty of the project developed by Mukhtar and Askhat, the economic efficiency of the proposed design solution.
The hackathon was organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies. The rector of the University, Abdrasilov Bolatbek Serikbayevich, made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the hackathon and wished the participants a successful presentation of the developed IT projects.
This Hackathon is an educational, design and communication forum for students of universities and colleges of the Karaganda region, aimed at solving urgent problems in the field of machine learning, neural networks, the Internet of Things, ecology, information security and cryptographic protection.
The purpose of the hackathon is to identify and professionally develop the teams that have developed the most promising design solutions in the hackathon regions. He had to evaluate the project according to the originality and novelty of the design solution, the development of a technical solution, the economic efficiency of the proposed design solution, the quality of preparation of presentation materials and reports and the potential of the project and choose a project that meets the above requirements.
The applications developed by the team of Nuriden Mukhtar and Makhambet Askhat were highly appreciated in accordance with the above requirements, distinguished themselves and won a prize.
It’s nice to see the future of our country, such a hackathon among attentive young people, holding forums. It will contribute to improving the knowledge and honing the experience of young people, increasing the interest of future IT specialists.
