Within the framework of implementing the social partnership program and developing student self-government, on May 16, 2025, a working meeting was held at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov with a representative of the student club “Sanaly Urpaq” of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov — Kairbek Meruert Sabitkyzy. From the department, the meeting was attended by the Head of the Department, Aksunkar Islanbekovna Birmanova.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss possible forms of cooperation and to coordinate the social partnership program for the 2025–2026 academic year. During the dialogue, the key areas of joint work were identified, including improving students’ legal literacy, forming an anti-corruption culture, as well as developing student initiative and self-government.
Special attention was paid to the organization of joint events — lectures, trainings, seminars, round tables — as well as to involving students in scientific and educational projects. As a result of the meeting, the Social Partnership Program was agreed upon and approved, and a Calendar Plan for the 2025–2026 academic year was developed, indicating specific dates, topics, and responsible executors. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation and decided to launch joint projects at the beginning of the new academic year. The meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, and it was noted that cooperation between the department and the student club would contribute to the formation of an active civic position and an anti-corruption worldview among young people.
As part of the implementation of the approved social partnership program, from October 31 to November 12, 2025, the student club “Sanaly Urpaq” of the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company “Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov” held an interuniversity essay competition titled “Honesty Begins with Me.” The purpose of the competition was to form principles of honesty, fairness, and personal responsibility among students, as well as to improve legal literacy and develop an anti-corruption culture.
A total of 50 essays were submitted by students from three universities of the Karaganda region: Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov, and Karaganda Industrial University. Students from the 1st to the 5th year of study from various faculties took part in the competition.
The evaluation of the works was carried out in accordance with the approved criteria, including originality and depth of thought, relevance to the topic, argumentation, literacy, text structure, and compliance with technical requirements. Works completed using artificial intelligence or containing signs of plagiarism were not allowed for consideration.
Based on the results of the competition, winners were determined in the Kazakh- and Russian-language categories. Information about the competition results was sent to participants by email and published on the official Instagram page of the “Sanaly Urpaq” student club. The competition demonstrated a high level of student engagement and their conscious attitude toward issues of honesty and anti-corruption culture.
The continuation of the social partnership program was an interuniversity video competition on the topic “Counteracting Corruption: The Youth’s Perspective,” held from December 1 to December 12, 2025, by the “Sanaly Urpaq” student club of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov.
The purpose of the competition was to form anti-corruption awareness, develop civic activity among young people, and increase intolerance toward manifestations of corruption.
Students of higher educational institutions of the city of Karaganda took part in the competition, including students of the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov and the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov. Author’s social-themed video works were submitted for the competition. The evaluation of the works was carried out according to the criteria of relevance to the topic, originality of the idea, quality of execution, social significance, and creative approach.
Based on the results of the competition, winners who took first, second, and third places were determined. Winners and participants were awarded diplomas. The event contributed to the development of student initiatives, strengthening interuniversity cooperation, and increasing the role of student self-government in shaping the anti-corruption worldview of young people.
Overall, the implementation of the social partnership program demonstrated the effectiveness of cooperation between educational institutions and student organizations aimed at fostering legal culture, civic responsibility, and an active life position among students.
