On March 31, 2023, the four-day republican hackathon among students and students “HACKATHON-2023” ended at the University of Alikhan Bokeikhanov, in the city of Semey.
The event organized by the Technological Cluster of the University “Abai IT-Valley” with the support of the technopark “Astana Hub”, the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development and the Department of Education of the Abai region was attended by over 30 students of higher educational institutions and colleges, as well as students of schools of the Abai region, the cities of Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Karaganda.
ESSEBA team participated from Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, which includes students of the groups SIB-20-2 (curator Kadirova Zh.B.) Nuriden Mukhtar Nabiuly, Makhambet Askar Kayratuly, SIB-21-1 (curator Rysbekkyzy B.) Dalabayeva Anel Sayatovna, SIB-21-3 (curator Rakova G.K.) Serikbol Madina. The purpose of this event was to create a mobile application to increase the tourist attractiveness of the Abai region and the city of Semey.
Anel Dalabayeva shared what she saw: “The Hackathon is a very intense and exciting competition in which teams need to develop an application in a short time. Where participants come together to develop a project of the future within a few days. It is a place where smart, creative and motivated people gather to exchange ideas, experiences and knowledge.”
“Since our project was to create an application for tourists of the city of Semey, we were shown the city, had a tour of historical sites, told very interesting stories about the people who created and raised this city. We were very carried away, since we were in this city for the first time. During the study of the area, we visited the sights of the city, got acquainted with famous historical figures, such as: Abai Kunanbayev, Mukhtar Auyezov, Shakarim Kudaiberdiev. As well as contemporaries, such as: Roza Rymbaeva – the “Golden Voice” of the republic, is a symbol of a very strong woman, Samat Smakov is the most titled football player of Kazakhstan. The historical city of Semey has been educating and continues to educate great people from time immemorial, who have made a huge contribution to the development of our state,” Makhambet Askar said.
Serikbol Madina: “In turn, we would like to thank the organizers of the hackathon for the unique and unforgettable experience that we received by participating in this project. It was not only exciting, but also a very productive event, where we were able to put our knowledge and skills into practice, as well as learn something new.”
“The impressions from the hackathon were different, but in general it really inspired us with positivity and the acquaintance of new peers. At ESSEBA, we worked on a common goal, joined a team with a strong spirit, laid out our knowledge gained at the university, recalled the knowledge of such teachers of the department as: Zharkimbekova A.T., Sailaukyzy Zh., Aubakirova A.E., Tailak B.E., Mukhamedieva L.S., and others. I would also like to note, for the special attention and sponsorship of the head of the Department “Information Technology and Security” Kokkoz Mahabbat Meiramovna. We are grateful to them, we wish everyone health, strength and scientific achievements in their works,” Nuriden Mukhtar shared his joy.
According to the results of the hackathon, the ESSEBA team of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov was awarded with diplomas of the II degree and a cash certificate in the amount of 50 thousand tenge.
