Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor, director of “Information technologies in education” department of Hong Kong University (Hong Kong, China)
He has read lectures on pedagogy problems of higher school and information technologies in teaching foreign languages «TheUse of Moodle Technologies for Foreign Language Teaching and Learning in Technical University» during his visit. He conducted seminars on the use of computer platform “Moodle” to implement course “Foreign Language”, “Technical Foreign Language”, “Professionally-oriented Foreign Language” for students of technical specialties. He took part in International scientific conference “Science and education is a leading factor of 2030 strategy”
Professor D. Churchill read lectures on the latest information technologies teaching of foreign languages and management process of scientific publications in magazines with high impact-factor, he conducted consultations on developing teaching materials of international standard.
Application for grant financing of scientific researches of MES of the RK is given for 2012-2014. Priority of science development: “Applied researches in education sphere”. Theme: “Development of scientific-technical bases of modernization system of higher foreign education in technical university on the base of computer linguodidactics principles”. D. Churchill, professor, director of “Information technologies in education” department of Hong Kong University (Hong Kong, China) takes part in project.
Decision of making an agreement on international cooperation is concluded between FL Department of KSTU and “Information Technologies in education” of Hong Kong University (Hong Kong) – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor D. Churchill.
