On the basis of the Division Network Association of Kazakhtelecom JSC, on December 05 and 06, 2023, a competition of cable welders “Master ON and CN” (Master of Optical Network and Master of Copper Network) was held for workers of the Karaganda region. The event was attended by the teaching staff of the CST department – senior teacher Sarsenbaev E.A., senior teacher Aldoshina O.V., assistant Zhantuganova T.S.
The competition “Optical Network Master 2023” consisted of two stages:
- practical work on the installation of optical couplings with a capacity of 32 fibers on the OKL-32 cable.
- testing according to NRD (regulatory document).
On a competitive basis, a graduate of the Department of Communication and Technologies Systems, Abdrakhman Talas Kairatuly, a 7th grade cable welder at the MS-1 Center in Karaganda, took 2nd place.
In the future, in order to improve the level of qualifications and quality of training of specialists, it is planned to hold similar competitions for students of the specialties “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications” and “Network Technologies and Communication Systems” within the walls of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov.
