⚜️At the next meeting of the Academic Council at the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, important areas aimed at improving the quality of education and developing scientific activity were discussed.
🔹On the first item on the agenda, the report of the Board Member – Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Ali Mehdiyev on the results of the university’s research activities in 2025 and tasks for 2026 was heard. As the Academic Council noted, in 2025, scientific research activities at the university will be carried out within the framework of strategic priorities for the development of science and will be focused on research, development and innovation work on state orders, economic agreements with industrial enterprises, as well as on initiative topics of departments.
🔸Ainagul Toleuova, Director of the Strategic Development Department, made a report on the “Results of the Atameken National University Educational Programs Rating for 2025”. It was noted that participation in this rating is of great strategic importance, since these indicators are taken into account when distributing state educational orders. It is worth noting that 23 of the 29 educational programs of the university that participated in the rating were included in the TOP-10.
🔹The report on the achievements and development prospects of the College of Innovative Technologies was made by the College Director Nurbibi Smagulova. As the Academic Council noted, the college’s activities in the 2025-2026 academic year are aimed at implementing the main tasks of the technical and vocational education system, updating curricula and improving the quality of personnel training. Training of mid-level specialists is carried out in 47 educational programs, which are included in the register of the Talap NJSC, which confirms that these programs meet state standards and labor market requirements.
🔸At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of KarTU – Rector Saule Sagintaeva noted the importance of strengthening the scientific potential of the university, updating educational programs and increasing their competitiveness, and sustainable development in accordance with strategic priorities.
