The traditional “Career Start” job fair was held at STU with the participation of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral graduates, as well as representatives of regional and national enterprises. About 70 companies presented their current job vacancies and held meetings with students.

At the official opening of the fair, welcoming speeches were delivered by Abay Kalykov, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, Dauren Koshkaraliyev, Deputy Head of the Labor Mobility Center of the Karaganda Region, and company representatives. They highlighted new opportunities in the labor market and the high demand for engineering specialties.

“STU remains a leader in technical education in Central Kazakhstan, training highly demanded specialists and updating educational programs in line with employers’ requirements. The annual ‘Career Start’ job fair is an excellent opportunity for senior students and graduates to find employment. We thank employers for their cooperation and wish students a successful start to their professional careers,” noted Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work Abay Kalykov.

The event was attended by about 1,500 students from the Mining Faculty, Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Faculties of Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering, Innovative Technologies, Energy, Automation and Telecommunications, Transport, Logistics, and Engineering Economics.

The job fair contributed to strengthening direct interaction between students and employers. The event enhanced cooperation between the university and the labor market and provided young specialists with the opportunity to confidently begin their professional careers.
