A MEETING OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL WAS HELD AT ABYLKAS SAGINOV KARAGANDA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY.
A regular meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Council took place at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, where relevant issues related to the university’s educational and scientific-methodological activities were reviewed.
Digital Transformation Strategy
Vice-Rector for Digitalization Azamat Amirov presented a report titled “On the University’s Digital Transformation Strategy and the Implementation of Platonus.” The report was thoroughly discussed and taken into consideration.
Non-formal Education
A research associate of the Institute for Continuing Education presented a report titled “On the Consideration of Non-formal Education and the Recognition of Its Results.” The material was discussed by council members and approved.
Changes to the Register of Educational Programs
Director of the Department for Academic Affairs Bakyt Kurmasheva presented a report titled “On the Exclusion of Several Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programs from the Register of Educational Programs.”
The proposals were approved and forwarded to the Academic Council for consideration.
Editorial and Publishing Activities
Head of the Editorial and Publishing Center, Kuralai Sagadiyeva presented the report:
- “On the Thematic Plan for the Publication of Educational Literature for 2026 and on Methodological Recommendations for the Preparation and Formatting of Educational and Scientific Literature.”
All proposals in the publication plan were approved by the Scientific and Methodological Council.
Opening of New Educational Programs
Head of the “EE&M” Department, Gauhar Tanekeyeva, presented a proposal on opening a doctoral program.
The materials were discussed and recommended for approval by the Academic Council.
Inclusion of Programs in the Register
Head of the “PES” Department, Elena Neshina, presented a report titled “On Including a New Educational Program in the Register.” The material was supported and forwarded for approval.
Head of the “G&ME” Department, Farida Isatayeva, also presented a report on including a doctoral program. The proposals were approved and recommended to the Academic Council.
Forms of Midterm Assessment
Representative of the Registrar’s Office, Dana Medeubayeva, presented materials “On Approving the Forms of Midterm Assessment for the Fall Term of the 2025–2026 Academic Year.”.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nussupbekov Bekbolat presented a report titled “On the Plan and Tasks of the Scientific and Methodological Council for the 2025- 2026 Academic Year.” The proposed plan was reviewed and approved by the Scientific and Methodological Council.
Chairs of Faculty Quality Assurance Committees presented reports “On the Approval of the Work Plans of Faculty Quality Assurance Committees for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.” The submitted plans were reviewed and approved.
Acting Head of the Department of “History of Kazakhstan,” Temirzhanova Sholpan, presented a report “On the Approval of Plans for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, Candidates for Chairpersons and Composition of the State Examination Commission (SEC), Composition of the Appeals Commission, SEC Matters, and the Program for Preparing for the State Examination in the Discipline ‘History of Kazakhstan’.” All proposals were approved and forwarded for consideration by the Academic Council.
Head of the Editorial and Publishing Center, Sagadiyeva Kuralai, submitted for review a textbook prepared by the Editorial and Publishing Council. The material was discussed and forwarded for approval to the Academic Council.
