«XVII Saginov Readings. Integration of Education, Science and Production»


On June 26-27, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “XVII Saginov Readings. Integration of Education, Science and Production” was held at Saginov Technical University. Saginov Readings have been held in memory of the founder of our university, Abylkas Saginov, since 2009. Since then, they have become a significant event for the scientific and educational community and representatives of industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan, as well as the countries of the near and far abroad.

The growing attention to the Saginov Readings is due to the fact that they demonstrate the symbiosis of science, production and education, which is especially relevant at present.

Chairman of the Board, Rector of Abylkas Saginov KTU Saule Sagintayeva addressed the Conference participants with a welcoming speech in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English, thereby emphasizing the international status of the conference. She placed special emphasis on the fact that Saginov legacy continues to serve the development and construction of the New Kazakhstan. This conference is yet another confirmation of this.

It was held in a slightly modified format. For ease of perception of the materials, the plenary session was divided into three panels with similar topics: “International Challenges and Prospects of Technology”, “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: New Horizons” and “Personnel, Industry and Integration of Education with Production”.

Half of the first day of the Conference was devoted to them. During this time, 12 reports were heard, including Peports by PhD, Professor of the School of Mining and Geosciences of Nazarbayev University Fidelisа Suorineni; PhD, Professor of Incheon National University (South Korea) Shinа Eun Chulа; Head of the Thieme Bieg Company (Germany) Torstenа Thieme, PhD; Professor of the University of Obuda (Hungary) Amirа Mosavi and others.

After lunch and the next day, the Conference continued its work. The sectional sessions discussed such topical issues as “Strategic aspects of socio-economic modernization of Kazakhstan”, “Education of the 21st century”, “IT and Smart technologies”, “Topical issues of geotechnology”, “Innovation technologies in metallurgy and materials science”, etc. This list, which is far from complete, already gives an idea of ​​the breadth of coverage and relevance of the topics discussed.

The Conference received 894 reports from 142 universities in Kazakhstan, near and far abroad

The heads and specialists of many industrial enterprises of the country took an active part in it.

It ended with the awarding of active participants with certificates of honor from  Chairman of the Board, Rector of Abylkas Saginov KTU, S.S. Sagintayeva.
