Procedure for submitting materials to UMO-GUP ROOMS

to resolve the issue of assigning the UMO-GUP RUMS stamp, the applicant (author, author’s team) sends the following materials to the Chairman of the UMO-GUP RUMS:
1. ) A cover letter signed by the head of the OVPO or organization, containing brief information about the educational publication, its output data (title of the manuscript, surname, first name, patronymic of the author or authors, planned circulation, year of issue, volume in printed sheets), number and name of the group of educational programs. (Appendix 1).
2. Application of the author (team of authors) on the organization of an expert examination of the educational publication(Appendix 2).
3. A manuscript of a printed educational publicationwith a volume of at least 15 ppfor the textbook and 6 ppfor the textbook and workshop. The printed educational publication is provided in the form of a manuscript without editorial editing in paper and electronic forms (in PDF format).
• Numbering should start from the 3rd page (at the bottom in the center or on the side, taking into account even and odd pages, on the odd page – on the right, on the even page-on the left (mirror image). The page numbering should be set in the same font as the original manuscript.
• Margins: top, bottom, right, left – 2 cm.
• Single line spacing.
• Headings are shown in bold: chapters and sections are shown in uppercase letters, subsections and paragraphs are shown in lowercase letters.
• The tab (paragraph indent) should be 1 cm (5 characters).
• After each subsection, you must include a list of questions for monitoring (at least 5).
• Recommended literature is issued at the end of the academic publication: no more than 5 main sources and 10 additional ones.
• For A5 format (148×210 mm): the main font is 11 (Times New Roman – in Russian, Kz Times New Roman – in Kazakh). Auxiliary font-9: text in tables, notes, table of contents, bibliography, captions to figures).
• For A4 format (210×297 mm): The main font is 14 (Times New Roman – in Russian, Kz Times New Roman – in Kazakh). Auxiliary font 12.
3) The manuscript of the educational publication in PDF format; An extract from the protocol of the Academic Council of the OVPO with a recommendation to assign the UME stamp to the educational publication; 4) The working (academic) program of the discipline, for which the educational publication was prepared;
5) Information about the results of checking the text document for the presence of borrowings;
6) Reviews of 3 specialists with an academic or academic degree in the relevant field of knowledge, compiled taking into account the following criteria:
– Evaluation of the structure and content of the manuscript of the educational publication.
− The degree of correspondence of the content of the manuscript of the educational publication to the educational program and the results of training of the discipline.
– The difference between the manuscript of the educational publication and the existing literature, the degree of its novelty and continuity.
– The scientific level of the manuscript content of the educational publication.
– The degree of mastering practical issues, their relevance.
– Methodological level of the material, its adaptability to educational technologies.
– Language, presentation style, quality of illustrative material, tables, diagrams
− The degree of compliance with psychological and pedagogical requirements for the interpretation of the presented material and its application. – Expediency (inexpediency) of assigning a stamp. (Appendix 3).
