British Council announces the admission of applications from young journalists to participate in the training program Future News Worldwide, which will be held in Edinburgh on 5-6 July 2018. Participants of the program will hold coaching sessions with editors, TV presenters, writers and reporters of the world media and will be able to get acquainted with novice journalists from other countries.

Future News Worldwide is a partnership program between British Council and the world’s leading media organizations, including Reuters, CNN, Facebook and Google News Lab. The purpose of the program is to identify, train and support a new generation of journalists.

All costs associated with participation in the programme, including travel to and from Edinburgh, accommodation and meals, will be covered by the British Council.

The program can be attended by undergraduate and graduate students of any specialties who are fond of journalism in any form.

Basic requirements:

* Age from 18 to 25 (as of July 1, 2018)

* Participant must be a bachelor’s and master’s student in any specialty

  • Fluency in the English language level of IELTS 6.5 (IELTS certificate is not required, only need to speak the language at this level)
