The Department of Science and Innovation is a key structural unit of the university, whose mission is to develop and integrate scientific potential into the educational process, create an innovative environment and support cutting-edge research to solve the most important problems of the economy and society.
The department’s activities are based on the close interaction of science, education and the real sector of the economy. To implement this concept, Kazakhstan’s first innovation and educational consortium, the Corporate University, was created, bringing together leading industrial enterprises, national companies and research organizations. This partnership provides a high level of training for specialists who are able not only to meet modern challenges, but also to stay ahead of them, setting the pace of economic and industrial development.
The university’s scientific and innovative infrastructure includes an extensive network of research laboratories, centers and institutes where fundamental and applied research is conducted in priority areas of science and technology. Special attention is paid to developments that have a real practical effect and can significantly improve the quality of life, increase labor productivity and ensure the sustainable development of regions and the country as a whole.
The main areas of scientific research are high-tech and environmentally friendly technologies, energy efficiency and resource conservation, digitalization and automation of processes, nanotechnology and materials of the future, as well as innovative approaches in construction, energy, mining and biotechnology.
The Department of Science and Innovation is not just an organizer, but also an inspiration for the scientific creativity of students, young scientists and faculty, forming an intellectual platform for the growth of new leaders in science and innovative entrepreneurship.
