Memorial Evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of  Mukagali Makatayev


On April 2, 2021, within the framework of the “Rukhani Zhangyru” program, a creative evening of memory dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Mukagali Makatayev was held. President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev on his Twitter page noted the special significance of M. Makatayev’s work for the Kazakh people: “The poetry of Mukagali reflects the nature of all Kazakhs. His mysterious poems touched the hearts of many readers. The poet’s anniversary coincided with the 30th anniversary of our Independence. This is an anniversary holiday for every Kazakh family”.

The literary evening was attended by teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Culture and students of the group Mash 20-1, Mash 20-2, GD 20-1, TE 20-1, MET 20-1, MET 20-2, BZHD 20-2, TMO 20-1 (total coverage-120 people). As a guest, the event was attended by the Master of Pedagogical Sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Language and Culture Abylkasov G. M. As a person in love with poetry M. Makataeva, he was able to convey his mood to the students, telling with interest about the poet’s work. The main emphasis was placed on the lyricism and imagery of the poet’s poems.

During the creative evening, a presentation was presented and a video film about the work of M. Makatayev was shown, which was prepared by students of the group MASH 20-1 Zhumagulov Artur and Zhabay Zhanar.

With special expressiveness and emotionality, Apendin Amanzhan, a student of the TE 20-1 group, a participant of the republican reading contest, read the poet’s poem “Ush bakytym”. The civic lyrics of M. Makatayev were the main topic of the students ‘ speech. So, a student of the group Mash 20-1bulanbayeva Ayaulym read the poem “Destroyed house”. She was able to convey the feelings of the poet associated with the tragic fate of the Kazakh people.

Love lyrics by M. Makataev is particularly popular among students. At the poetry evening, several poems of the poet were performed. The poem “Fariza, Fariza Jean”, read by Diana Khamitova, a student of the BZHD 20-1 group, received a special response in the hearts of the students. Student of the group GD 20-1 Baizhumanov Nurlan with the poem “Bugin menin tugan kunim” brought a special emotional mood to the event. Nurlan was able to convey the lyricism and humor of this work. It is noteworthy that one of the readers of the poem by M. Makataev was a student of the group Mach 20-1 Pogonin Viktor. He read the poet’s poem “Sen Surama” in Kazakh.

The main purpose of this event is to bring up a sense of national self-identity and interest in poetry and literature among the young generation, using the example of M. Makatayev’s work.
