The Department of Russian language and culture of Karaganda technical University on November 5, 2020 will hold a Literary drawing room on the theme “Great scientist, orientalist, historian, geographer, folklorist, educator, orientalist Chokan Valikhanov”, dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the scientist.

The purpose of the event: to promote interest in the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan on the example of the life and work of the outstanding Kazakh scientist and educator CH. Valikhanov.
Objectives of the event:
– development of students ‘ communication skills;
– expanding students ‘ horizons, interest in learning languages and the history of their country;
– education of patriotism through the study of the literary heritage of the people; involvement of students in socially useful activities, in strengthening the spiritual and moral values of “Mangilik El “and”rukhani zhangyru”.
The name of the great humanist scientist Chokan Valikhanov, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of history, geography, Ethnography and linguistics, remains one of the most recognizable and respected not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the entire Central Asian region. His scientific works still surprise modern readers with the breadth and depth of research, which revealed the great erudition of the scientist, his talent as a researcher, and a sharp, inquisitive mind.
In connection with the anniversary, the Department of Russian language and culture holds a Literary drawing room on the theme ” Great scientist, orientalist, historian, geographer, folklorist, educator, orientalist CH. Valikhanov”, which will be held on the Microsoft teams distance learning platform (code:_____). Compositionally, the event consists of two parts: the theoretical part, which includes a brief introduction of students to the biography of CH. Valikhanov and the game part, which includes a quiz on pre-proposed blocks •

- Travel to Issyk-Kul, Kul’dzha and in the expedition to Kashgar.
* Works of the scientist (philosophical views, literary creativity, ethno-cultural heritage).

Result of achieving the goals of the event will be:
– introduction to the brilliant polemical gift of CH. Valikhanov, with his progressive philosophical ideas;
– mastering the centuries-old experience of the Kazakh people, which says “don’t be the son of your father, but be the son of your people”;
– education of young people on the example of Chokan Valikhanov’s life.
