His whole life was devoted to the service of science and education. It is difficult to specify all his achievements in this honorable endeavor. They are marked with high state awards: medals of ENEA USSR and ENEA Kazakh SSR, the jubilee medal ‘For valorous labor in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of V.I. Lenin’, Honorary diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ‘Excellent worker of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan’ badge, ‘Honorary worker of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan’ badge and titles – award winner of A.G.Nebolsin International Foundation, winner of the competitions: for the best published educational and educational-methodical literature among higher education institutions and the title of the best lecturer of higher educational institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Being Vice-rector of Karaganda State Technical University, PhD, professor, academician of the International Informatization Academy, Russian Academy of Professional Education, Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Natural Sciences National Academy, Victor Vladimirovich had made a huge contribution to the development of professional education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He had led the University to the heights of success for many years. Not everyone is given the ability to manage people and understand their problem, to assess the ability and see the potential as well. The team of like-minded colleagues is not formed by itself, but is created, brought up and unified by the True Leaders.
Egorov Viktor Vladimirovich established his Pedagogical school, recognized both in Kazakhstan and beyond, on the international level. The general direction of the School corresponds to the basic trends of development of professional education in conditions of informatization of society. Under his guidance, 6 PhD and 32 candidate theses were defended. He was the head of innovative research developments on professional education. The results of the activities of his scientific-pedagogical school are introduced in educational process of educational institutions, and the leading industrial enterprises of the CIS countries as well.
Egorov Victor Vladimirovich had lived a life full of creativity, service to science and education. He was born on 10 June 1945 in Bulayev district of North Kazakhstan region. In 1968, he graduated from Karaganda Order of Red banner Labor Polytechnic Institute, majoring in ‘Foundry of ferrous and non-ferrous metals’. Labor activity of V.V. Egorov started at the production association ‘Kargormash’.
His teaching activity began in 1976 as an Associate Professor of Casting Production Department of Karaganda Polytechnic Institute. In 1977, he successfully defended his thesis and became a candidate of Technical Sciences.
From 1986 to 1996, V.V. Egorov headed the Department of general technical subjects and methods of vocational education of Karaganda Pedagogical Institute. From 1995 to 1996, he was Vice-rector for Social and Economic Affairs of that university. From 1996 to 2008, he was the Dean of professional art faculty of E.A.Buketov Karaganda State University.
In 1995, he defended thesis on competition for a scientific degree of PhD on theme: ‘Organizational-pedagogical bases of engineer-teacher training for vocational training of students’. In 1997, V.V.Egorov was awarded the title of professor. In 2000, he was elected a member of the International Academy of Informatization, in 2001 – a member of Russian Academy of Professional Education, in 2003 – a member of I.Altynsarin Kazakh Academy of Education, and after reorganization in 2005, – member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, in 2008 – member of the Kazakh National Academy of Natural Sciences.
V.V. Egorov was the initiator of the opening of the Joint Dissertation Council, and since 1999, he had headed his job as President, then he was a member of the Joint Council (Astana) on the defense of doctoral dissertations on the specialty ‘13.00.01 – General pedagogics, history of pedagogics and education, ethnopedagogics’ and ‘13.00.08 – Theory and methodology of professional education’.
From 2009 to present, he had worked as the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of Karaganda State Technical University.
The works of Vladimir Egorov is widely known in Kazakhstan, in the near and far abroad. Current models of pulse forming machines have been exhibited at International fairs, exhibitions in India, Algeria, Germany, Poland, Russia and others.
Author of over 800 scientific publications, including 9 textbooks with the stamp of MES RK, 20 monographs, 28 textbooks, 26 inventions patented in Russia and Kazakhstan, 21 automated training program, 10 e-books, 11 articles in journals with impact factor.
We are proud to meet such person– intelligent, generous man with a big heart and a broad mind on our way. He was distinguished as a professional by the qualities such as competence, creativity, commitment, efficiency, reliability and responsibility. Viktor Vladimirovich was a dedicated specialist, giving birth to innovative ideas.
He was respected throughout the Republic and outside its territory and had the invaluable merit to Motherland.
We mourn the loss of Victor Vladimirovich Egorov, our friend and colleague, and express our deepest condolences to his relatives.
