The Social-educational event will be held within the Rukhani Zhagyru program and more than 60 KTU students will participate.
This year the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker, the son of the Kazakh people, Abai Kunanbayev is celebrated. Abai’s philosophy, with his wise thoughts about the people, culture and language, became a precious spiritual heritage for subsequent generations of Kazakhstanis.
Abai is the motto, Abai’s work is the breath of time, Abai is the voice of the people. A vivid image of Abai, and his poems are forever with us. Abai is a reflection of the path of the Kazakh people. He is a jewelry master of the artistic word recognized by the world. The personality of the poet, who revealed the spiritual wealth of our people to the whole world, has no equal ones.
The objectives of this event are to acquaint students with the work and biography of the great poet and thinker Abai, to introduce students to the work of the wise Abai, to popularize the idea of the great author, to form patriotism through the study of the cultural heritage of the people, to identify and develop the creative abilities of students.
Responsible for the event: Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Ph.D., Associate Professor Jantasova Damira Dulatovna, responsible for the social-educational work of the department Izotova Aigerim Serikovna, teachers of the department Abdykarimova Moldir Maratovna, Abdykarimova Gulnur Maratovna.
The event will be held in English, Kazakh, Russian. 1st and 2nd year students will participate in the event (they will perform songs and poems of Abai, talk about the work of the great poet, show their presentations in 3 languages).
