Currently, the department is carrying out an initiative topic “Development of effective methods for the synthesis of new heterocyclic derivatives of some alkaloids with a wide range of biological activity” under the guidance of Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies Ibraev M.K.

The aim of the work is to develop effective methods for the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds based on natural substances with biological effects.

The results of the work and their novelty consist in the development of methods for obtaining and optimal conditions for the synthesis of pyrazoline and oxazoline derivatives under conditions of classical synthesis, microwave and ultrasonic activation, as well as computer bioscreening of synthesized substances. The developed methods for obtaining potentially biologically active azoles are recommended for the development of new biologically active substances and practical application in the synthesis of these classes of compounds.

In the direction of chemical technology of organic substances, the department carries out research work within the framework of a grant project on the topic:

  1. “Development of effective methods for the synthesis of azole compounds based on natural substances with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects” (Supervisor: Candidate of Chemical Sciences Rakhimberlinova Zh.).

Relevance

To date, there is little information about chemical synthesis methods for the introduction of azole heterocycles into the structure of natural compounds, in particular alkaloids, which has determined the relevance and prospects of their study for the search for new bioactive compounds.

Project objective

Development of effective methods for the synthesis of azole compounds based on natural substances with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, serving as new therapeutic properties, as well as full establishment of their structure and bioscreening of synthesized compounds using the PASS program.

Expected and achieved results

Methods for obtaining and optimal conditions for the synthesis of azole derivatives based on the cytisine alkaloid and biogenic amines have been developed. Methods for the preparation of pyrazoles and oxazoles based on the cytisine alkaloid and biogenic amines morpholine and piperidine and their chemical modification have been developed. Possible mechanisms of reactions of their formation are investigated, the structure of new compounds is established. Bioscreening of new synthesized substances was carried out.

Methods of obtaining and optimal conditions for the synthesis of oxozoline derivatives of the cytisine alkaloid under the conditions of classical synthesis of microwave and ultrasonic activation have been developed, the structure and their biological activity have been established. By heterocyclization of the obtained amino alcohol derivatives of the alkaloid cytisine and biogenic amines, oxazole derivatives were obtained. Bioscreening of synthesized substances was carried out.

Development of methods for isolation of natural triterpenoids from plants and their chemical transformation in order to search for new biologically active substances” (Supervisor: Candidate of Chemical Sciences Takibaeva A.T.):

On the basis of the Research Institute “Tomsk State University” joint scientific research on the production of new pharmacological agents based on functionally substituted triterpenoids under the guidance of Professor Bakibaev A.A. In

Relevance

Natural triterpenoids and their derivatives attract the attention of researchers around the world engaged in the search for new bioactive agents, due to their widespread use and synthetic capabilities. Modification of triterpenoid molecules and their derivatives with subsequent bioscreening of the obtained compounds is relevant for the creation of new highly effective drugs of a wide spectrum of pharmacological action.

Project objective

Study and development of effective methods for the isolation of natural triterpenoids from domestic plants for the subsequent synthesis of new biologically active derivatives based on them.

Expected and achieved results

Derivatives of betulin were obtained by reacting it with phenylferrocenyl alcohol, glyoxalic acid and tetramethylglycoluryl, dimethylchorphosphate. The synthesis and study of the structure-bioactivity relationship of the obtained compounds were carried out.

Methods of obtaining and optimal conditions for the synthesis of triterpenoid derivatives under conditions of classical synthesis, microwave and ultrasonic activation; pharmacologically active derivatives of triterpenoids by heterocyclization of hydroxyl-substituted betulin have been developed. The physicochemical and spectral characteristics, structure-bioactivity relationships of synthesized substances have been studied.
