2nd year students of Karaganda State Technical University of specialty 5B070400 “Computers and software”, Kim Evgeny and Daukishov Suleymen took part in the second round of the X Republican Student Academic Contest in the specialty 5B070300 “Information systems” that was conducted on the basis of the Kazakh-British Technical University in Almaty.
74 students representing 43 Universities of Kazakhstan took part in the Republican contest.
Republican Olympiad was held in 3 disciplines included in the mandatory component of the state specialty:
1) Databases in information systems.
2) Algorithms, data structures and programming.
3) Computer networks.
Assessment of students ‘ knowledge was carried out on each discipline separately in points. Each task was evaluated on a 100-point scale.
The tasks were quite difficult and time-limited. After the contest, all participants were awarded certificates.
Kim Evgeny won the second place.
Research advisor of the contest participants is a senior lecturer of the Department “Information technologies and security” Klyueva Elena Georgiyevna.
