On December 14, 2018, the Dialogue Platform ended in social networks on the topic “Abai and Pushkin – Two Geniuses of Two Nations”, which was held by the Department of the Russian Language and Culture in cooperation with the ISEU (Ivanovo, Russia). This event was held in the framework of the implementation of the “Ruhani Zagyru” program of the basic project “Kitapi – bilim bulagy”. Due to numerous requests from students, it was decided to postpone the last date of the work of the Dialogue Platform from December 9 to December 14.
On the pages of the site, students placed their written reflections in the form of small essays, author’s poems (in Russian and Kazakh languages), drawings, videos of Abai and Pushkin’s poetry, and even performed musical works written on the basis of the works of their favorite poets. The best works were awarded with diplomas and certificates.
In our fast-moving time — the time of an endless stream of information, the time of gadgets, computers, and other innovative technologies — young people read classics, sing lyrical songs, draw and reflect on the work of great poets … Is this not a paradox?
Contrary to all opinions that today’s youth is pragmatic, indifferent and lazy, the Dialogue Platform has served as proof that our youth are not soulless, they can be embraced by “wonderful impulses”, they know how to love and appreciate the beautiful! And it’s just great!
The mighty spirit of Pushkin and Abai, their work, praising universal moral values, are always relevant and in demand. Reading their works, we constantly discover our new Pushkin, our new Abai, and through them we discover something new in ourselves. We need the memory of the great sons of two great nations, especially our young people …. As symbols of the greatness of the human spirit striving to comprehend the wisdom of life. Let them disturb our souls and call for knowledge, remind of kindness and tolerance, give faith in the power of spiritual development, inspire great deeds in the name of love and humanism.
