The Head of the Department of Physical education
Akhmetov Amankeldy Akhmetovich, the candidate of medical sciences (1975), Associate Professor (1977).
He was born in 08.03.1946 year in the Kazgorodok village of Kokshetau region. After graduating the Medical Faculty of Karaganda State Medical Institute in 1969, he worked in the Department of Pathological physiology as a Senior laboratory technician and he was an assistant of the Department in 1972. In 1975 on September, 1 in the direction of the Regional Committee of Communist Party of Kazakhstan was transferred to work to Karaganda Pedagogical Institute of Physical Education, where he worked until 1996 as a Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, as the Head of the Department of Sports Medicine, the Dean of the Faculty, Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs and Vice-Rector of educational and methodical work of RUMTS.
In 1996 after the merger of Karaganda Pedagogical Institute and KaragandaStateUniversity he worked as a rector of RUMTS of the University, then as a Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sport.
2000-2010 he worked at the ModernUniversity for the Humanitarians and at Kazakh-RussianUniversity, first as the Dean of the PilotCenter, then as a professor of the Department of Psychology and Defectology.
Since September, 1 2010 till the present time he works as the Head of the Department of Physical Education at KaragandaStateTechnicalUniversity.
At different times he passed courses of Training Faculty at Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sport in Omsk, at the GTSOLIFK in Moscow, at TartuStateUniversity at the Faculty of Sports Medicine (Estonia). He published over 40 scientific works, several manuals for students, and participated in the creating of model programs, Teaching Methodological Complexes for different specialties. Also, he participated in the scientific and methodological conferences of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Uralsk (1985), in Kustanai (1987), in Semipalatinsk (1989), in Ust-Kamenogorsk (1990), in Chimkent (1991), in Karaganda (1992), in Pavlodar (2006). These works were published in the abstracts of these conferences.
Being the Dean, Vice-Rector of the Institute of Physical Culture and KaragandaStateUniversity he devoted time and a lot of efforts to prepare the sportsmen of higher qualification, such as Zhaparov A., Alshinbaev S., Mayauzov M., Akshalov A., Hahimov B. and others, who grew at different times as champions of Kazakhstan, of the USSR and the World.
Ahmetov A.A. participated in organizing and conducting competitions in freestyle wrestling championship of various ranks from the region, republic, the Soviet Union and to international tournaments. He was elected as a president of the regional federation of wrestling, a member of the Republican judiciary board. At the present time he is a judge of the Supreme National freestyle Wrestling category and Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
While working in higher education institutions he was awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts, and with the badge “for Excellence progress in higher Education of USSR”, with Diploma of the Central Committee of KPSS, of the Council of Ministers and the VTSSPS, with Jubilee Medal of Modern University for the Humanitarians in Moscow, and was awarded with the title “Honored Worker of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
