The event was attended by veterans of KSTU, workers on the home front: Chairman of the Ethics Council of KSTU, professor Drizhd Nikolai Alexandrovich; Chairman of the Board of veterans Obukhov Yury Dmitrievich, President of the Council for spiritual and moral education of Kyzyrov Kairulla Beisembaevich, Professor Togaybaev Kaden Bariuly, Kim Yury Moiseyevich, Dedov Anatoly Nikanorovich, Tikinidi Konstantin Dmitrievich, veterans – teachers Zhakupova Aiken Sakenovna, Bilyk Lyudmila Nikolayevna, Nassybulina Sophia Habibulovna, Rassokhina Galina Grigoryevna, who shared their memories about the Great Patriotic war.

Especially all were impressed by the story of Bilyk Lyudmila Nikolaevna, who got on to war in the pioneer camp in Ukraine. As a child, she saw and experienced all the hardships of occupation and war: German soldiers occupied their house, at night the guerrillas repulsed captured Soviet soldiers, led into the woods. Then they, too, with mother and younger sister had to go into the forest, to dig the dugout there. After some time they were released by returned Soviet soldiers and ferried across the Dnieper River to the mainland.

Memories of veterans were intertwined with the performances of students who spoke about their grandparents, great grandparents who fought heroically on the fronts of the great Patriotic war.

The students of KSTU, pupils of boarding school for children with disorders of musculoskeletal system “NODA” and the students of cadet classes of school №58 performed with creative performances.

At the end of the event veterans warmly thanked the performers for the excellent program.
